Introduction, due on September 7

Greetings!

Welcome to my blog.

I'm a senior majoring in Economics.

I've taken MATH 112 and MATH 113 at BYU.

I chose EMC2 because I'm interested in a math minor to supplement my major and I'm particularly interested in learning to apply that to coding. I've taken CS 142 so I have a little experience in coding.

I've only taken large classes so the effectiveness of the teacher really boiled down to their competency at lecturing. One professor would have us break into small groups to work out problems during our main lecture. I found this to be ineffective... in my mind it was her job to lecture and explain and if we needed more hands on help then we could work on it in lab the next day. I just think group work is a lot more effective with smaller class sizes.

One interesting thing about me is I play bass guitar in two local bands: Motion Coaster and Brass Rook. I majored in music for a year before switching Econ. It's definitely one of my passions but I don't see it as a viable career option for me.

I'll make your office hours work for me!
